The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has received a set of modern technical equipment supplied by the Republic of Korea, with a total value of USD 220,000. The official handover ceremony took place on February 3 under the framework of the 2025 Small Grant Official Development Assistance (ODA) program.

The event was attended by Mr. Kim Jun Chhol, Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Korea, and Gülşat Yusupova, Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan. The initiative reflects South Korea’s support for projects contributing to Turkmenistan’s socio-economic development.

The delivered equipment is intended to enhance the technical infrastructure of the higher education institution in Turkmenistan and will be utilized in line with the objectives of international assistance programs aimed at improving educational quality.

During the meeting, the representatives also exchanged views on opportunities to further strengthen bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea throughout the year. Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to cooperate closely in implementing planned joint activities.
