Results of the "Conservatory Talents — 2026" Competition Announced in Ashgabat
22 May. 13:37The Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory recently hosted the final stage and awards ceremony for the "Conservatory Talents — 2026" professional contest. This creative event aimed to identify and encourage exceptional student abilities in diverse fields such as musical performance, conducting, composition, and musicology. The competition highlighted the high academic standards of the institution and the impressive artistic potential of the next generation of Turkmen musicians.
According to the official reports from the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the competition was structured in two rigorous phases. This format allowed the panel of experts to thoroughly evaluate the technical proficiency and artistic expression of each candidate. By moving through successive rounds, the participants were able to demonstrate their growth and resilience, ensuring that only the most outstanding performers reached the winners' podium.
The scale of the event was significant, with a total of 278 students participating across various categories. Following the final evaluations, 12 students were awarded the prestigious first prize, while 18 and 23 students secured second and third places, respectively. Additionally, 32 participants were recognized with Certificates of Honor for their noteworthy contributions and promising talent displayed during the competition stages.
The event concluded with an official ceremony where winners received diplomas and merit awards. To further celebrate their achievements, the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan presented the laureates with valuable commemorative gifts. Such initiatives demonstrate the nation's commitment to nurturing young artists and preserving the rich heritage of Turkmen musical culture by providing incentives for professional excellence.

Entrance Examinations for Higher and Secondary Vocational Institutions Completed in Turkmenistan
24 Aug. 18:38Turkmenistan has officially concluded its admission campaign for higher and secondary vocational educational institutions for the 2026–2027 academic year. Held between July 13 and August 24, 2026, the examination process was conducted under state commission oversight and public supervision. Notably, entrance exams at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs were administered using a standardized testing format.
Following the examination results, over 18,000 applicants were admitted to higher education institutions. Under the newly implemented "Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052," several new academic tracks were established across specialist, bachelor's, and master's degree levels, aligning with the "Atlas of Future Professions." Priority admission status was granted to international competition winners, top athletes, and high school medalists.
