President of Turkmenistan pardons 247 people in honor of the Year of Peace and Trust
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree granting clemency to 247 convicted individuals on the occasion of the International Year of Peace and Trust, according to TDH.
During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Chairman of the Commission on Citizenship and Clemency under the President of Turkmenistan, Begench Gundogdyev, reported on the results of the commission’s work. After hearing the report, the head of state signed a decree granting clemency to 247 citizens in connection with the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The President instructed the Chairman of the Commission, in cooperation with the heads of law enforcement agencies, to carry out the necessary procedures for the release of the individuals and their prompt return to their families.
The President of Turkmenistan wished the recipients of clemency to work diligently, serve the Motherland sincerely, and live a life enjoying the rewards of honest labor.

Turkmenistan Announces the Contest “Youth Creativity – The Voice of Peace”
The editorial office of Nesil newspaper, together with the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, has announced the launch of the contest “Youth Creativity – The Voice of Peace.” The official announcement was published in the Nesil newspaper issue dated October 28.
The competition is open to young people under the age of 35. Participants are invited to submit essays, short stories, and poems dedicated to the themes of national achievements, patriotism, permanent neutrality, peace, friendship, and unity.
Entries must be submitted by December 10 with the note “Youth Creativity – The Voice of Peace.” Applications should include an information sheet, a copy of the passport, two 3×4 photos, home address, and phone number.
