Presidents of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan discussed the development of partnership

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held in Avaza. This was reported by the press service of the Kazakh leader.

The President of Kazakhstan expressed gratitude to the head of the Turkmen state for the invitation to take part in the forum.

During the meeting, the parties particularly noted that this event is an important platform for exchanging views on current issues related to the situation of landlocked developing countries and developing practical solutions. Issues related to strengthening cooperation in trade and economic, energy and transport and logistics were also discussed.

The parties once again confirmed their commitment to the comprehensive development of strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.

The Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries is taking place in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in the city of Turkmenbashi on the Caspian Sea.

Informal CIS Leaders’ Meeting Opens in Saint Petersburg

An informal meeting of heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States has officially begun in Saint Petersburg. The gathering is being held in the St. George Hall of the State Hermitage Museum, one of the world’s most prominent cultural institutions. The launch of the meeting was confirmed by official representatives of the host country.

Prior to the talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin, together with CIS leaders, toured the exhibitions of the Hermitage Museum. The visit included Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Following the cultural program, the heads of state convened in the St. George Hall to begin informal discussions. Turkmenistan’s participation highlighted the country’s consistent engagement in regional dialogue and cooperation within the CIS framework.
