President of Turkmenistan Congratulates Defenders of the Motherland

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended his congratulations to military personnel and employees of law enforcement agencies on the occasion of Defenders of the Motherland Day. According to TDH, the message highlights the crucial role played by defenders of Turkmenistan in safeguarding the country’s Independence, permanent Neutrality, sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order. As emphasized by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the trust placed in those who ensure national security, public stability, inviolability of state borders, and adherence to national legislation reflects the deep respect of the people of Turkmenistan for patriotism and courage. The congratulatory address also notes that improving living, service and working conditions for defenders of Turkmenistan and their families remains a priority of state policy. The commissioning of numerous new residential and service facilities for military and law enforcement agencies ahead of the holiday further demonstrates Turkmenistan’s strong commitment to supporting its defenders. Modernization of the material and technical base and creation of comfortable conditions for service and rest will continue to be among Turkmenistan’s key strategic objectives.
















Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and PETRONAS Sign New Memorandum

The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn. Bhd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance cooperation in education and vocational training. The signing meeting involved Minister of Education J. Gurbangeldiyev, Malaysian Ambassador Mohd Suhaimi bin Ahmad Tajuddin, and PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) CEO Ismadi bin Ismail.

The agreement coincides with the 30th anniversary of PETRONAS's operations in Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector. Discussions focused on qualifying skilled workforce candidates for the energy industry, extending scholarship opportunities for Turkmen students at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, and advancing professional development programs.

To date, Turkmenistan and Malaysia have established nearly 20 educational agreements. During the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Turkmenistan, three additional agreements were finalized between local universities and Universiti Tenaga Nasional to support academic mobility and exchange initiatives.
