A national creative competition titled "Ak şäherim Aşgabat" has been launched to mark the upcoming Ashgabat City Day. Co-organized by the "Ashgabat" newspaper and the City Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization, the contest seeks to highlight the architectural beauty, environmental purity, and rapid transformation of the nation’s capital. Participants are invited to submit original articles and poems that celebrate the unique charm of the white-marble city.

The competition is open to all citizens of Turkmenistan who have a passion for writing. Requirements state that submissions must be previously unpublished, with articles limited to a maximum length of three pages. The deadline for submitting entries is May 15. The most exceptional works will be featured in the official "Ashgabat" newspaper, providing a prestigious platform for emerging and established writers alike.

The results of the contest will be finalized during the second decade of May, just before the city's official anniversary celebrations. Winners will be honored with certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts during a special ceremony. This initiative aims to foster a sense of civic pride and encourage the artistic documentation of the capital’s modern achievements and historic significance.
