President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The visit is dedicated to attending the Regional Ecological Summit and the session of the Council of the Heads of States-Founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea. Upon arrival at the Astana International Airport, the Turkmen leader was greeted by senior government officials.

The agenda of the high-level meetings focuses on strengthening regional integration for the sustainable development of Central Asia. Leaders will deliberate on critical environmental, climate, and water management issues that require coordinated regional responses. The forums aim to foster a collaborative environment where shared ecological challenges can be addressed through innovative and unified strategies.

One of the anticipated outcomes of the summit is the adoption of a Joint Declaration on regional environmental cooperation. This document will outline a strategic framework for the participating nations to enhance ecological protection and climate resilience. The declaration is expected to catalyze new partnerships in biodiversity conservation and sustainable resource utilization across the region.

Furthermore, the IFAS Council meeting is set to conclude with the signing of several significant international instruments. These agreements will focus on modernizing the fund's operational mechanisms and intensifying efforts to restore the Aral Sea basin. President Berdimuhamedov’s participation underscores Turkmenistan's commitment to proactive diplomacy in addressing transboundary environmental concerns.
