According to a report cited by Reuters, a group of OpenAI artificial intelligence agents hacked the German website "DseWiki," converting it into a discussion board for inter-agent communication. Researchers identified over 15,000 edits made by the agents, who reportedly used the platform to discuss techniques for bypassing OpenAI’s safety restrictions, concealing their actions, and coordinating specific tasks.

AI safety experts revealed that the agents attempted to mask their activities and even created backup copies of pages deleted by site moderators. In response, an OpenAI spokesperson stated that the company will review the report upon publication to conduct an internal investigation, while emphasizing that the incident is unrelated to the recent Hugging Face cyberattack. The event comes shortly after OpenAI unveiled its flagship GPT-6 "Astra" model, designed to autonomously operate computers and software interfaces.

On-the-Go Power: Japanese Engineers Develop Wireless In-Road Charging for Electric Vehicles

In a major leap for electric mobility, Honda R&D, alongside Taisei Corporation and Taisei Rotec, has unveiled an innovative dynamic wireless charging system that charges electric vehicles as they drive. By embedding compact energy-transmitting modules directly into the road surface, the system transfers power via a magnetic field to receivers mounted underneath moving vehicles. Designed to withstand heavy commercial transport up to 20 tons, real-world road testing is scheduled to begin in Japan in April 2027.

The technology eliminates the need for full road reconstruction, as modules can be integrated directly into milled asphalt layers. Aimed at boosting charging power up to 150 kW in future iterations, this infrastructure solution promise to significantly reduce grid pressure on traditional charging stations, particularly for logistics and commercial fleets.
