Turkmenistan continues to strengthen its agricultural sector through the introduction of modern production facilities. New vegetable-growing greenhouse complexes have been officially commissioned in the Balkan and Mary regions of Turkmenistan, according to national media reports.

In the Bereket district of Balkan region, a state-of-the-art greenhouse has begun operations as part of the production infrastructure of the “Nurly meýdan” farming enterprise, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The facility is equipped with advanced machinery supplied by well-known international manufacturers. Automated digital systems regulate temperature, humidity, and irrigation, ensuring stable and efficient production conditions across the greenhouse in Turkmenistan’s climate.

The cultivated area of the complex covers 10 hectares, while the total territory extends to 13.6 hectares. The project has created more than 150 new jobs and has an annual production capacity of 2,000 tons of vegetables. Tomato harvesting at the facility will continue until the summer of next year, contributing to Turkmenistan’s domestic food supply.

In the Mary region, within the Mary district, another modern greenhouse owned by the “Eziz dag” business entity has been put into operation. Designed to produce up to 2,000 tons of tomatoes annually, the greenhouse was constructed by specialists from the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. All climate, heating, and irrigation systems are fully computerized, enabling precise operational management.

The greenhouse occupies a total area of 12 hectares and is used to cultivate nine different tomato varieties. Each plant receives individual care and targeted nutritional support. These projects highlight Turkmenistan’s commitment to innovation and sustainable agricultural development.
