Yesterday, a high-level delegation from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, led by Rector Tan Zhishun, visited the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan. The working visit focused on strengthening international ties in the healthcare sector and exploring collaborative research opportunities between the two academic institutions.

A significant outcome of yesterday's sessions was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the Turkmen-Chinese Traditional Medicine Center. This agreement marks a strategic advancement in diversifying medical services in Turkmenistan by integrating renowned traditional Chinese healing practices with modern clinical approaches.

Following the diplomatic discussions, a specialized Traditional Medicine Office was officially inaugurated within the Faculty of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. The ceremony was attended by key healthcare officials and representatives of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund, highlighting the project's significance for the nation's welfare.

The newly opened facility is equipped with specialized research laboratories and treatment rooms designed for both practical training and scientific inquiry. This center will provide Turkmen medical students and professionals with a unique platform to master alternative therapeutic techniques, further enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery in the region.
