Head coach of Arkadag football club, Rovshan Mukhadov, stated that the upcoming AFC Champions League 2 tournament will feature only strong opponents with no easy games.
At the pre-match press conference ahead of their opening game against Uzbek team Andijan, he emphasized the high level of competition.
“There are no weak teams in this tournament; among them is even Ronaldo’s club — Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr. So, we expect no easy matches,” Mukhadov said.
He added that the team carefully analyzed Andijan’s matches in the Uzbekistan league, identified their strengths and weaknesses, and is nearly fully prepared.
“Tomorrow’s game is a big celebration for the fans. After last year’s success in the AFC Challenge League, we aim to maintain a high level,” he concluded.
Arkadag midfielder Mirza Beknazarov called on fans across Turkmenistan to actively support the team.
The Arkadag vs Andijan match will kick off today at 18:45 Ashgabat time.
