Turkmenistan Customs Officers Enhance Trade Facilitation Skills at Astana Workshop
17 Feb. 09:18Representatives from the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan recently attended the second regional training session on the Time Release Study (TRS) held in Astana. This initiative, supported by the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), targeted customs experts from Central Asia and the Caucasus to streamline international trade procedures.
The seminar focused on identifying bottlenecks within customs workflows and sharing global best practices to expedite the movement of goods. Participants engaged in developing actionable proposals to optimize import, export, and transit operations. By mastering the TRS methodology, the Turkmen delegation aims to enhance the country’s logistical efficiency and foster more seamless regional trade integration.
