President of Turkmenistan Participates in the “Central Asia – United States” Summit
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the “Central Asia + United States” summit held in the United States under the chairmanship of President Donald Trump, TDH reported.
The summit was also attended by the Presidents of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev; Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov; Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon; and Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Opening the event, President Trump thanked the leaders for their participation and expressed confidence that the meeting would elevate six-party cooperation within the “C5+1” framework to a new level.
In his address, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the positive outcomes achieved since the establishment of the partnership format and reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in security, economic development, energy, and environmental protection.
He emphasized that the “C5+1” dialogue should play a vital role in ensuring sustainable development across the Central Asian region.
During the summit, participants discussed key areas of partnership and adopted joint declarations outlining intentions for enhanced economic cooperation and the preservation of cultural heritage between the governments of the five Central Asian nations and the United States.

A Spanish delegation led by Ambassador to Moscow Ricardo Martinez held talks with the Minister of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in environmental matters.
During the meeting, the ambassador congratulated the Turkmen side on the International Day of Neutrality and thanked them for the warm welcome. The discussions were later reported on the official website of Turkmenistan’s environmental authority.
The agenda included cooperation in environmental protection, joint efforts to combat desertification, and measures to address plastic waste pollution. Special emphasis was placed on Turkmenistan’s presidential initiative announced at the UN General Assembly, proposing the establishment of a regional desertification prevention center for Central Asian countries, along with potential areas of collaboration.
