Magtymguly Turkmen State University (TSU) has announced an Open House event scheduled for May 2 and May 9, 2026. Starting at 3:00 PM, the university welcomes high school graduates, active military personnel, and young professionals who aspire to pursue higher education. This initiative is designed to provide comprehensive information to those planning to enroll in one of the country’s most prestigious educational institutions.

The event program is structured to give visitors a deep insight into the university's academic environment. Participants will be able to tour the campus, including high-tech classrooms, language laboratories, and modern scientific research centers. University representatives will provide detailed briefings on the various specializations offered, showcasing the latest advancements in Turkmenistan’s higher education system and its commitment to digital learning.

Beyond academic life, the Open House will highlight the social and extracurricular activities available to students. Prospective applicants can explore the university museums, student dormitories, and the sports club facilities. Understanding the living conditions and athletic opportunities is considered a vital part of the decision-making process for future students and their families.

Switzerland Opens Applications for Government Excellence Scholarships for Young Turkmen Researchers

The Swiss Government has officially opened the application cycle for its Excellence Scholarships for the 2027–2028 academic year. The program target young specialists and researchers from Turkmenistan seeking to conduct post-graduate research or pursue doctoral studies at top Swiss universities and research institutes.

Key applicant requirements:

A Master’s degree or equivalent academic/professional credential;

Age limit: born after December 31, 1991;

A detailed research proposal including a timeline, core methodology, and planned objectives;

An official letter of academic sponsorship from a host professor in Switzerland;

For applicants currently residing in Switzerland, the entry date must not precede August 1, 2026.

The grant includes a monthly allowance, health insurance coverage, partial housing subsidies, and travel expenses. Research fellowships range from 6 to 12 months in duration. Electronic application submissions will remain open through November 27, 2026. Application procedures for Turkmen citizens are overseen by the Embassy of Switzerland in Baku.
