Renu Dhariyal, hailing from Haldwani in the Uttarakhand state of India, has been officially certified by Guinness World Records as having the longest hair on a living female. Her dark, silver-streaked tresses measured an astounding 271.50 centimeters, according to a report by MIR 24.

The formal measuring session allowed Dhariyal to surpass the previous titleholder, Aliia Nasyrova from Ukraine, whose hair measured 257.33 centimeters.

Dhariyal revealed that her journey began in 2015, driven by cultural traditions that view long hair as a hallmark of feminine beauty and heritage. Today, she runs a dedicated blog and website where she shares her extensive hair care routines, which require hours of washing and combing each day. She now aims to build a global personal brand around her unique record.
