An intense weather system has swept across the French capital following a prolonged period of stifling summer heat. The sudden meteorological shift brought dramatic thunderstorms and volatile atmospheric conditions to Paris. Onlookers and professional photographers managed to capture striking visual evidence of a massive lightning bolt directly striking the pinnacle of the iconic Eiffel Tower.

According to regional meteorological reports, the severe weather front rapidly expanded to impact more than 30 administrative departments across the country. Wind speeds during the height of the storm were officially clocked at a hazardous 104.8 kilometers per hour. The destructive winds were accompanied by torrential rainfall and heavy hail, which severely compromised visibility and safety throughout the affected zones.

The violent storm caused widespread disruptions to the national power grid and civilian infrastructure. Due to fallen transmission lines and damaged electrical substations, approximately 63,000 households were left entirely without electricity. Emergency response teams were deployed immediately to begin the complex process of restoring power to the blacked-out residential areas.

In addition to the utility failures, the high-velocity winds caused extensive structural and environmental damage in urban sectors. Numerous large trees were uprooted, crashing down onto public roadways and crushing a significant number of parked vehicles.
