In the city of Arkadag, traffic will be temporarily restricted on a section of “Ahalteke atlary” Street

Starting August 1, traffic will be temporarily restricted on a section of “Ahalteke atlary” Street in the city of Arkadag, between the “Atly ýigit” and “Polatly” buildings, due to construction and installation work. This was reported by the newspaper Turkmenistan.

According to a joint statement from the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan and the city’s hyakimlik (mayor’s office), the restrictions are being implemented to carry out improvements to the road infrastructure.

“Carrying out improvement works aimed at enhancing citizens’ quality of life and major road surface upgrades will ensure comprehensive convenience for passengers,” the statement noted.

Earlier, it was reported that on July 30, the reconstructed “Gökdepe” Avenue and the corresponding sections of “Keýmir kör” Avenue, as well as a newly built multi-lane bridge at their intersection, would be inaugurated and put into operation in the city of Arkadag.

A Series of Events Promoting the Russian Language and Culture to Be Held in Ashgabat

From November 24 to 28, Ashgabat will host a series of cultural and educational events as part of the Russian Federation’s state program “Support and Promotion of the Russian Language Abroad,” according to the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture “Rosconcert.”

The program features performances by the Ural State Academic Russian Folk Choir, a traditional Russian folk gathering by the Moscow Folk Choir, as well as educational seminars and master classes focused on the Russian language.

Additionally, visitors will be able to attend an exhibition of traditional Russian costumes from the private collection of Sergey Glebushkin.
