In October, the Moon will come its nearest to Earth — less than 360,000 kilometers away.
According to Vladilen Sanakoyev, an engineer at the Ural Federal University’s educational astronomical observatory, this will occur on October 7, when a supermoon takes place. On that day, the Moon will appear about 30% brighter and 14% larger than during a micromoon.
Starting October 8, the Moon will begin to move away from Earth, and by October 23, the distance will increase to 406,000 kilometers.
In addition, several rare astronomical events can be observed in mid-October: on October 13, the Moon will pass close to Jupiter, and on the morning of October 19, it will pass near Venus. As a result, residents of the Ural region will be able to witness an especially bright and unusual dawn.
Earlier, the scientist also warned that solar activity may reach a new peak.

Rain and snow are expected alongside strong winds. Night temperatures will be as low as –6°C, while daytime readings may reach +13°C.
Dashoguz Region
Light mixed precipitation is possible mid- and late week. Night temperatures may drop to –7°C, with daytime temperatures between –3°C and +6°C.
