The National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, chaired a regular meeting of the Council of Elders under the Halk Maslahaty and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children’s Charitable Foundation. During the session, Chief of Staff R. Bazarov emphasized the highly positive impact of the Council's decisions on promoting national state programs and legislative advancements.

According to the established regulations, the Council of Elders operates under the direct chairmanship of the Hero-Arkadag, with its membership approved and updated by the Resolutions of the National Leader. R. Bazarov noted that while all provinces and the city of Ashgabat currently have designated representatives in the Council, he formally requested the National Leader's guidance on choosing worthy senior members to officially represent the newly built Arkadag City.

In response, the National Leader of the Turkmen People stated that Arkadag City resident K. Tashliyev, who previously represented the Ahal province, will now simultaneously represent Arkadag City. Furthermore, the Hero-Arkadag announced that he personally, in his capacity as the head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, will officially represent Arkadag City in the Council of Elders. Notably, Arkadag City representative K. Tashliyev was originally elected to the Council of Elders for the Ahal province on August 19, 2025.
