President of Turkmenistan Congratulates Indonesia on the 80th Anniversary of Independence
On August 18, 2025, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto on the occasion of the country’s 80th Independence Day.
In his message, the Turkmen leader extended heartfelt congratulations, wishing President Subianto good health, happiness, and success, and conveyed wishes of peace, progress, and prosperity to the people of Indonesia.
Indonesia celebrates its Independence Day annually on August 17. In 1945, the country declared independence — a pivotal moment in its history and the beginning of the modern Indonesian state. The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of this historic event.
Turkmenistan and Indonesia maintain friendly relations and collaborate across various fields, including trade, education, culture, and within the framework of international organizations. Bilateral ties continue to strengthen through mutual cooperation and diplomatic dialogue.

Turkmenistan Startup and Innovation International Forum – 2025 to Be Held within TurkmenTEL-2025
Ashgabat will host the Turkmenistan Startup and Innovation International Forum – 2025, organized by the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The event will serve as a platform for presenting the Roadmap for the Development of Turkmenistan’s Innovation and IT Ecosystem, as well as for discussing the next steps in engaging stakeholders from government agencies, the business community, and international development partners.
Among the speakers will be Bagrat Yengibaryan, an international expert from UNDP, who will highlight key areas of cooperation and share global experience in digital innovation and startup development. The forum aims to strengthen collaboration between public and private sectors, exchange knowledge, and promote partnerships in the field of digital technologies.
The event will conclude with a session titled “Opportunities for Regional Cooperation in Developing the Startup Ecosystem in Central Asia”, where startup projects from across the region will be presented. Participants will showcase innovative solutions that foster partnerships and advance joint ICT and innovation initiatives.
