The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan has announced that the Sarahs, Artyk, Howdan, and Altyn Asyr border crossings are currently operating at peak efficiency. Strategic measures have been implemented to ensure the rapid processing of vehicles and cargo, effectively eliminating delays for both domestic exports and international imports.

These customs points are vital links for transit corridors serving Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, more than 200 individuals from 16 different nations—including Russia, China, the US, and several EU countries—have entered Turkmenistan via the Iranian border since early March. The full-scale operation of these border posts reinforces Turkmenistan's position as a reliable transit hub for Eurasian trade routes.
