President of Turkmenistan Holds Extended Cabinet Meeting to Review 2025 Results
14 Feb. 04:27The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, chaired an extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers focused on reviewing the country’s socio-economic performance in 2025. The announcement was broadcast through the “Watan” news program.
During the meeting, participants examined progress achieved across key sectors of the national economy over the past year. Deputy Prime Ministers, heads of several ministries and agencies, as well as regional governors presented their reports. Discussions also covered priority objectives for 2026, strategic plans for further socio-economic advancement, and personnel matters, including appointments and dismissals.
The session brought together parliamentary leaders, members of the State Security Council, regional and city mayors of Ashgabat and Arkadag, university rectors, media representatives, and other invited officials.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the President signed several official documents.

Entrance Examinations for Higher and Secondary Vocational Institutions Completed in Turkmenistan
24 Aug. 18:38Turkmenistan has officially concluded its admission campaign for higher and secondary vocational educational institutions for the 2026–2027 academic year. Held between July 13 and August 24, 2026, the examination process was conducted under state commission oversight and public supervision. Notably, entrance exams at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs were administered using a standardized testing format.
Following the examination results, over 18,000 applicants were admitted to higher education institutions. Under the newly implemented "Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052," several new academic tracks were established across specialist, bachelor's, and master's degree levels, aligning with the "Atlas of Future Professions." Priority admission status was granted to international competition winners, top athletes, and high school medalists.
