Working Meeting Held to Finalize the Opening of the "Lu Ban Workshop" in Turkmenistan
06 Apr. 06:09Officials and experts from leading universities in Turkmenistan and China conducted a digital working meeting to coordinate the upcoming inauguration and operational management of the "Lu Ban Workshop." Based at the Yagshigeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, the workshop's interior design, opening ceremony logistics, and long-term strategic cooperation plans were the primary focus of the virtual dialogue. The participants reviewed the status of ongoing technical preparations and project implementation.
The "Lu Ban Workshop" is designed as a premier training facility for young professionals in the energy and industrial sectors. It will offer specialized bachelor-level programs in "Geology and Exploration of Mineral Resources" and "Information Systems and Technologies (within the oil and gas sector)." Beyond student education, the center will serve as a hub for professional development, providing advanced training for faculty members and specialists from Chinese companies operating within the Turkmen oil and gas industry.
Technically, the workshop is equipped with high-end infrastructure, including two dedicated geological laboratories and four information technology suites. These facilities are complemented by server rooms, meeting halls, and administrative offices, all developed in collaboration with Chinese technical experts. The site is expected to host joint summer internships and practical training sessions for students from both Turkmen and Chinese vocational institutions, fostering a robust academic exchange.
This initiative stems from a Memorandum of Understanding signed in Xi'an in October 2024, involving the International University of Oil and Gas alongside Xi'an Shiyou University, Hebei Petroleum University, and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). The establishment of the workshop marks a significant milestone in educational diplomacy, aiming to enhance the professional qualifications of future engineers and integrate advanced Chinese technological expertise into Turkmenistan’s academic curriculum.

Historic Heritage and Breathtaking Nature: Turkmen Journalists Explore Balıkesir and Çanakkale
11 Oct. 15:20An international press tour for media representatives from Turkmenistan is currently underway in Türkiye, organized by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye.

The delegation includes journalists and content creators from the country’s leading public and private media outlets.

The journey through the Balıkesir region began immediately upon the delegation’s arrival at Koca Seyit Airport. The first stop on the itinerary was the picturesque Manastır Çayı area, followed by a visit to the famous Olive Oil Museum. Here, the journalists were introduced to the centuries-old traditions of olive oil production—a key gastronomic and cultural hallmark of the Aegean coast—before enjoying a walk along the scenic Güre coastline.

A special highlight of the program was an immersive experience in the region's unique natural landscape. Participants embarked on an exciting jeep safari through the Kazdağları National Park (historically known as Mount Ida). The journalists explored the rugged beauty of the Şahindere Canyon, refreshed themselves at ice-cold natural springs, and ascended to the legendary Altar of Zeus, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the entire region.

In the coming days, the press tour participants will dive into the rich history of the Çanakkale region. The itinerary includes exploring the ancient city of Assos and the Temple of Athena, viewing the iconic Trojan Horse, discovering legendary Troy along with its state-of-the-art museum complex, and paying tribute at the historic sites of Gallipoli and the Çanakkale Martyrs' Memorials.

Such international media initiatives allow Turkmen journalists to gain firsthand insights into modern practices in cultural and eco-tourism, exchange professional experience with Turkish colleagues, and strengthen media collaboration between the two nations.
