Austrian-Turkmen Society Leader Highlights Turkmenistan’s Global Standing
Neda Berger, head of the Austrian-Turkmen Society, praised Turkmenistan's rising international profile in a congratulatory message marking the country's 34th year of independence. Her message was published via official media channels.
She emphasized that Turkmenistan’s foreign and cultural diplomacy, led by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has significantly contributed to strengthening the nation's reputation as a neutral and constructive player on the global stage.
According to Berger, Ashgabat’s growing engagement with organizations such as the United Nations, European Union, CIS, SCO, OSCE, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation reflects its commitment to multilateralism and meaningful cooperation.
She also commended Turkmenistan’s economic strategy, describing it as a sustainable development model that continues to impress internationally.
Berger concluded by extending her best wishes for continued peace, prosperity, and long-term success to the people of Turkmenistan.

An informal meeting of heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States has officially begun in Saint Petersburg. The gathering is being held in the St. George Hall of the State Hermitage Museum, one of the world’s most prominent cultural institutions. The launch of the meeting was confirmed by official representatives of the host country.
Prior to the talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin, together with CIS leaders, toured the exhibitions of the Hermitage Museum. The visit included Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Following the cultural program, the heads of state convened in the St. George Hall to begin informal discussions. Turkmenistan’s participation highlighted the country’s consistent engagement in regional dialogue and cooperation within the CIS framework.
