Source

A large-scale military parade was held in Ashgabat to commemorate the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence. The event, taking place at the State Tribune Complex, was the focal point of the national celebrations and drew wide public attention, including international guests and diplomats.

Troops from all branches of the Armed Forces marched across the capital’s central square, showcasing Turkmenistan’s latest military equipment and technology. The display reflected the country’s strictly defensive military doctrine. Spectators also witnessed formations of military aircraft and helicopters fly overhead, while a live broadcast from the Caspian Sea featured the readiness of the national Navy.

A special highlight of the parade was the appearance of cavalry units mounted on legendary Akhal-Teke horses — a living symbol of Turkmen heritage and pride, emphasizing the connection between tradition and modern defense.

Following the military segment, thousands of civilians from Ashgabat, Arkadag, and all five provinces joined the procession. Among them were industrial leaders, sector specialists, young professionals, and students, representing the strength and unity of the nation’s workforce.
