Wheat Growers of Dashoguz Province Successfully Fulfill State Contractual Obligations
04 Jul. 13:17The grain growers and farmers of the Dashoguz province have achieved a major production milestone by successfully completing their state contractual obligations for the wheat harvest. To celebrate this outstanding agricultural victory and mark the achievement of the projected targets, a festive celebratory dinner (toy-sadaka) was hosted in the special pavilion of the iconic "Türkmeniň ak öýi" building in Dashoguz city. The official report regarding the event was published in the "Turkmenistan" newspaper.
This high performance in the fields is a direct result of the successful implementation of comprehensive agricultural reforms aimed at modernizing the nation's agrarian sector. The persistent labor of the master farmers, combined with efficient land management and automated farming technology, ensured a rich yield of food grain. This accomplishment stands as a clear indicator of the country's reliable food security framework and its self-sufficiency in core agricultural commodities.
The celebratory gathering, held on the day of this labor victory, gave special prominence to time-honored customs and national spiritual traditions. The event demonstrated the strong continuity between material achievements, cultural heritage, and community values in the new historical era. Celebrating milestone successes and industrial triumphs with traditional community meals has become an established noble practice, reinforcing the unity of the population.
During the social gathering, another significant event of national importance was formally highlighted and well received by the participants. As part of the ongoing second phase of construction in the smart city of Arkadag, a new grand mosque is currently being built. Based on numerous requests, written petitions, and practical suggestions received from the public, this rising spiritual center has been officially named the "Arkadagyň ruhy metjidi".
This decisions reflects the state's ongoing commitment to fostering moral solidarity, humanitarian principles, and cultural growth across all regions. The farmers of the northern province expressed pride in their production figures and reaffirmed their dedication to driving future agricultural growth. The naming of the new mosque serves as another cultural landmark, highlighting the preservation of national roots and heritage in modern Turkmenistan.

Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and PETRONAS Sign New Memorandum
23 Aug. 14:31The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn. Bhd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance cooperation in education and vocational training. The signing meeting involved Minister of Education J. Gurbangeldiyev, Malaysian Ambassador Mohd Suhaimi bin Ahmad Tajuddin, and PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) CEO Ismadi bin Ismail.
The agreement coincides with the 30th anniversary of PETRONAS's operations in Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector. Discussions focused on qualifying skilled workforce candidates for the energy industry, extending scholarship opportunities for Turkmen students at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, and advancing professional development programs.
To date, Turkmenistan and Malaysia have established nearly 20 educational agreements. During the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Turkmenistan, three additional agreements were finalized between local universities and Universiti Tenaga Nasional to support academic mobility and exchange initiatives.
