The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Guvanch Agajanov, met with Dai Houliang, the Chairman of the China National Petroleum Corporation ("CNPC"), during his working visit to Beijing. The two sides engaged in an extensive exchange of views on strengthening and deepening cooperation in the natural gas sector. The meeting highlighted the importance of energy diplomacy in the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China.

Vice-Premier Agajanov emphasized that natural gas cooperation between the two nations is of a strategic nature and holds significant weight for the leaders of both countries. He noted that landmark projects, such as the development of the "Bagtyyarlyk" area on the right bank of the Amu Darya and the construction of the "Central Asia – China" gas pipeline, serve as models for international energy collaboration. These projects have played a vital role in ensuring the economic and social stability of Turkmenistan.

During the discussions, "CNPC" was recognized as a technologically reliable and trustworthy partner that provides advanced solutions and essential technical support for infrastructure development. Vice-Premier Agajanov expressed confidence that both parties would continue to deepen their ties in the natural gas industry, fostering industrial growth and shared prosperity. In response, Dai Houliang stated that the energy partnership between China and Turkmenistan rests on a solid foundation with vast potential, guided by the strategic instructions of both heads of state. He affirmed that "CNPC" is actively implementing the agreements reached at the highest levels of government.
