Turkmenistan’s premier football division has been included in the list of the world’s top 100 national leagues for 2025, according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
The latest ranking shows that the Turkmen top flight climbed 21 places compared to the previous year, finishing 77th overall. Among members of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA), this is the second-highest position. Only Iran’s domestic league ranked higher, securing 62nd place. Uzbekistan’s Super League also appeared in the top 100, taking 93rd position.
The improvement is largely attributed to the strong performances of Turkmen clubs in international competitions throughout 2025, particularly FC Arkadag, which achieved notable success in continental tournaments.
The English Premier League topped the global ranking, while Spain’s and Brazil’s championships completed the top three.

Fábio Silva scored the sole goal for Dortmund in the 75th minute, while Ramy Bensebaini was sent off with a direct red card in the 90th minute. With this victory, Bayern Munich further solidifies its record for the most Supercup titles in German football history.
Looking ahead to the new Bundesliga campaign, Bayern Munich will face Stuttgart on August 28, while Borussia Dortmund opens against Hamburg on August 29.
