Turkmenistan’s New Theater Season to Begin on September 1 with Historical Performances
On September 1, theaters across Turkmenistan will open the new season with plays focused on historical and social themes. According to Turkmenistan: The Golden Age, performances in Ashgabat theaters will begin at 7:00 PM.
The Main Academic Drama Theater named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi the Great will present the play Şükür bagşy.
The National Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli will showcase Pursat.
The Student Theater named after Mollanepes will feature the play Ene Sargydy.
The State Russian Drama Theater named after Pushkin will open the season with the performance Mother.
The State Puppet Theater of Turkmenistan will entertain young audiences with the play Mährem ene.
It is also noted that theater troupes in the velayats have completed preparations and are ready to delight audiences with new productions.

Markets are adorned with fresh produce, sparkling globes, garlands, toys, candles, Christmas trees, and other gifts that capture the festive spirit. Modern greenhouses in Gyzylarbat, Magtymguly, Bereket districts, as well as in the cities of Balkanabat and Turkmenbashi, supply fresh vegetables and greens for the shelves of mobile trade points. High-quality meat, dairy products, vegetables, and fruits are sold at affordable prices. Beautifully packaged New Year gifts attract considerable interest from buyers.
To meet public demand, the Balkan Regional Consumer Societies Union has opened more than 100 mobile trade points across all districts and cities of the region. These mobile shops will operate until January 3, 2026, according to the «Türkmenistan» newspaper.
