Turkmenistan has revised the regulatory framework governing freight transportation by road. The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has approved an updated resolution that introduces a renewed licensing procedure for cargo transport via motor vehicles.
Under the new regulations, the process of obtaining a license in Turkmenistan has been significantly streamlined. The requirements have been eased, and the list of mandatory documents has been optimized to better meet modern logistical and economic needs. These measures are aimed at strengthening Turkmenistan’s transport and logistics sector.
The Ministry of Automobile Transport of Turkmenistan will begin accepting applications from individuals and legal entities starting in January 2026. Across all regions of Turkmenistan, document submission will be organized through a unified communication system.
