The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus officially inaugurated its national pavilion at the XXXIII Minsk International Book Fair, which opened on March 17. Held at the administrative complex in the Belarusian capital, this year's forum brought together nearly 500 participants from 23 different countries. The Turkmen stand aims to provide an extensive overview of the nation's literary heritage and contemporary publishing industry to an international audience.

One of the primary themes of this year’s exhibition is the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The national pavilion, meticulously prepared by the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan, serves as a cultural bridge, offering visitors a chance to explore the diverse literature and traditions of the country. Such participation emphasizes Turkmenistan's commitment to strengthening humanitarian cooperation and fostering mutual understanding among the CIS member states.

The centerpieces of the Turkmen display are the literary works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Additionally, the pavilion features publications dedicated to the upcoming 35th anniversary of the country's independence and the official motto of the year 2026. Translated works of classical Turkmen poets also hold a prominent place, highlighting the enduring global appeal of Turkmenistan’s poetic traditions.

Beyond books, the pavilion is aesthetically enriched with exquisite handmade Turkmen carpets and traditional costumes adorned with intricate national embroidery. Visitors can browse through various periodicals and view a collection of photographs showcasing Turkmenistan’s modern architectural landmarks and cultural monuments. The fair will remain open until March 22, continuing to serve as a significant venue for international cultural exchange and professional networking within the publishing world.
