Today, Turkmenistan’s national mobile network operator, "Altyn Asyr" CJSC, officially commissioned the new "72" network code to meet the steadily rising public demand for mobile communication services. Moving forward, newly registered mobile numbers will be formatted internationally as +993 72 xxxxxx. This strategic expansion is designed to scale up the national network capacity and support the ongoing digital transformation across the country.
Starting today, the newly coded numbers are available for purchase under standard tariff plans at all "Altyn Asyr" customer service centers and official retail outlets. The deployment of the "72" prefix substantially increases the available numbering pool, offering subscribers a broader range of selection options during the registration and onboarding process.
As a premier telecom provider serving the country since 2004, the operator's latest infrastructure upgrade significantly enhances the accessibility of modern mobile services for citizens. The launch of this new network code is projected to further streamline Turkmenistan's domestic telecommunications grid, securing seamless connectivity and robust access to digital solutions.
Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management to Host 3rd Open International Financial Olympiad
28 Oct. 13:58The Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management is preparing to host the 3rd Open International Olympiad in Finance for university students, alongside the 3rd International Scientific and Practical Conference titled "Sustainable Economic Development: International Experience and Future Prospects." The online financial competition is scheduled for November 13 and is open to students from higher education institutions in Turkmenistan and abroad, with a maximum limit of four participants per university. Applications must be submitted to the organizing committee by November 10.
Additionally, on November 27, the institute will conduct the international scientific and practical conference in a hybrid format, inviting academic faculty and researchers from national and international universities. The conference will feature three primary sections covering future trends in sustainable economic growth, the role of financial mechanisms, and the impact of management and marketing on economic sustainability. Interested participants are required to submit their papers and abstracts by November 12.
The official working languages for both the Olympiad and the conference are Turkmen, English, and Russian. According to the organizers, these international academic initiatives will foster cross-border knowledge exchange, expand practical expertise, and strengthen institutional ties between global universities and research centers.
