Source

Turkmenistan is celebrating the national holiday for healthcare and medical industry workers with large-scale initiatives and development efforts. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated professionals in the field and emphasized the essential role of a strong healthcare system in the country’s development strategy.

Over the past 30 years since the launch of the “Saglyk” national program, Turkmenistan has built a robust foundation in medicine, expanding its healthcare infrastructure with advanced hospitals, research centers, sanatoriums, and pharmaceutical enterprises.

Key medical projects include the International Physiology Center in Ashgabat, the Maternal and Child Health Center and Multispecialty Hospital in Arkadag, a pediatric hospital, a major oncology center, and new sanatorium buildings in Ahal Province. These facilities aim to ensure high-quality medical care across the country.

At the "Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment" facility, pharmaceutical products are being developed using locally sourced, eco-friendly ingredients. Doctors from Turkmenistan continue to improve their skills abroad, including training in European medical centers. Turkmen-German medical forums also facilitate exchange of best practices.

The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation supports children in need of care by funding treatment, diagnostics, and equipping hospitals with the latest technology. International organizations, including WHO and UNICEF, recognize Turkmenistan’s efforts in improving healthcare access.

The ongoing International Exhibition and Conference showcases advancements in healthcare, education, and sports under the era of national transformation. Across the country, modern schools, kindergartens, creative hubs, and sports venues are being built — creating a platform for future global events.

President Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed that citizens' health remains a core focus of national policy and thanked medical workers for their dedication. He extended wishes of success, happiness, and strength to all participants of the forum and professionals in the field.

Foundation Laid for Urea Plant in Balkan Velayat

Source

A ceremony for laying the foundation of a new urea plant was held in the Guvlymayak gengeshlik of the Turkmenbashi etrap in Balkan velayat, reports the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan."

The plant's designed capacity will be 1 million 155 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers per year. Construction is being carried out on behalf of the state concern "Türkmenhimiýa" by the Japanese company Mitsubishi in partnership with the Turkish company Gap İnşaat.

As noted by the speakers, urea is an export-oriented product capable of replacing imported mineral fertilizers.

The choice of the site in the western region is due to its proximity to the raw material base: natural gas is extracted along the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea, which is essential for production.

The construction of the new plant also has social significance: its commissioning will create additional jobs, contributing to the improvement of the local population's well-being.
