Turkmen Youth Showcased Rich National Heritage at the International Cultural Festival in Beijing
15 May. 10:09On May 15, youth representatives from Turkmenistan actively participated in the 22nd International Youth Cultural Festival, themed "Lead the Tide, Embrace the World," held in Beijing. The grand opening ceremony of this major global forum took place at the Zhengxin Square of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE). According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the event served as an important platform for promoting cultural diplomacy and cross-cultural understanding among youth from around the globe.
Supported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People's Republic of China, Turkmen students currently enrolled at UIBE took on the role of cultural ambassadors. The students established a comprehensive presentation aimed at highlighting Turkmenistan's historical legacy, deep-rooted traditions, and modern sovereign achievements. Engaging in international student forums of this caliber allows Turkmen youth to actively project the nation's positive image and build lasting friendships with peers from various cultural backgrounds.
The festival gathered youth from more than one hundred countries, and within this diverse framework, a vibrant national pavilion of Turkmenistan was successfully organized. The display stand became a visual embodiment of Turkmenistan's "open doors" foreign policy and its commitment to international peace and cooperation. Alongside exhibits detailing the country's socio-economic progress, the students organized an exhibition of traditional cuisine, allowing international guests to experience authentic Turkmen hospitality first-hand.
The Turkmen pavilion attracted a significant number of visitors, including foreign diplomats stationed in Beijing, representatives of international organizations, and members of the global student community. The cultural program concluded with a dynamic performance by the Turkmen students, who entertained the audience with traditional dances and national songs. Notably, a day prior to the festival, the Turkmen student delegation also delivered impactful presentations at a high-level symposium focused on quality energy education within the "Belt and Road" initiative, held at the China University of Petroleum.
