The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan (IIR) recently hosted the initial round of subject-specific Olympiads for 12th-grade students from secondary schools across the country. Commemorating International Education Day, this intellectual competition covered critical disciplines including the History of Turkmenistan, Mathematics, Turkmen, and English. According to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," the event is designed to foster academic excellence and identify promising candidates for the nation’s higher education system.

Approximately 800 students from all regions of Turkmenistan participated in this large-scale contest. The high level of participation reflects the growing enthusiasm among Turkmen youth for rigorous academic competition and their interest in the diplomatic and scientific fields. The contestants were tested on their analytical skills and depth of knowledge, aiming to secure a spot in the prestigious final round.

The results of the first stage will be announced shortly on the Institute's official website. Students who demonstrate the highest levels of proficiency will advance to the second and final stage, scheduled for April 27. The award ceremony for the winners is set to take place on May 8, coinciding with the Institute's "Open House Day."
