Turkmen Students Secure Second Place in International Environmental Security Olympiad
02 May. 09:00Sophomore students from the Faculty of Agronomy at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute have achieved a significant milestone by winning second place in the International Olympiad on Environmental Security. The academic competition, hosted by the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University in the Russian Federation, provided a platform for students to demonstrate their expertise in environmental protection and sustainability. The success of S. Hozhaniyazova and R. Miriyeva highlights the growing excellence of higher education in Turkmenistan's agricultural sciences.
The students' achievement was guided by the mentorship of H. Kazakova, a lecturer at the Department of Horticulture and Vegetable Growing. Under her scientific supervision, the students developed a comprehensive understanding of ecological challenges and safety protocols, which proved crucial during the competitive rounds. This collaboration emphasizes the importance of academic mentorship in fostering young researchers capable of addressing modern environmental issues on a global scale.
To celebrate this international recognition, a commemorative event was held at the Faculty of Agronomy. Faculty members and students gathered to honor the awardees and discuss the significance of their performance. The event served as an inspiration for the student body, showcasing the opportunities available for international academic exchange and the practical application of their classroom learning in competitive environments.
During the ceremony, the winners were presented with commemorative gifts by the Magtymguly Youth Organization's branch at the institute. These awards recognize the hard work and dedication of the students in representing their institution and country. According to the institute's official reports, this achievement is viewed as a major success in the ongoing effort to modernize the agricultural sector through specialized knowledge and international academic cooperation.
