President Serdar Berdimuhamedow extended his congratulations marking the 18th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, along with the opening of an exhibition and the international forum titled “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan.”

The message was published in the Turkmenistan newspaper, highlighting the growing role of private entrepreneurs in driving the country’s economic progress.

In his statement, the president emphasized that business leaders are increasingly active in investment initiatives and demonstrate strong responsibility in implementing projects that benefit society.

He also pointed out that national development strategies for the period 2022–2052 place significant emphasis on strengthening public-private partnerships and encouraging broader participation of entrepreneurs in priority sectors.

According to the address, ongoing reforms aimed at improving the business climate and supporting enterprises are steadily increasing the share of the private sector in the economy. Plans for 2026 include further expansion of small and medium-sized businesses and raising the non-state share of GDP to 72.9%.

The president concluded by noting that the contributions of the Union’s members are essential for advancing industrialization and maintaining sustainable economic growth.
