A delegation of media representatives from Turkmenistan has embarked on a professional study tour to the United States to explore cutting-edge practices in modern journalism. The group includes specialists from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State News Agency, and the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting, and Cinematography. The primary focus of the visit is to gain insights into the rapid evolution of information technologies and their impact on global media.

Throughout the month-long program, the participants will engage with American experts to study the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the newsroom environment. They will examine various strategies and digital tools used to streamline content production and enhance data analysis. This exchange of experience is designed to provide Turkmen journalists with the technical expertise needed to implement AI-driven solutions in their domestic operations.

The program also emphasizes the broader implications of AI technologies on the effectiveness of mass media. Specialists at the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, led by Durdymyrat Gadamov and Altyn Rahmanova, have developed a new-generation bio-agent designed to neutralize soil methane emissions. The solution utilizes local bacteria adapted to the regional climate, which harness methane monooxygenase to convert methane into carbon dioxide and water.

Methane is a major contributor to global warming, with a heat-trapping capacity in the atmosphere significantly higher than that of carbon dioxide. The newly developed bio-agent features high efficiency in industrially congested areas, cost-effectiveness through the use of local raw materials, and complete safety for human health and the environment.

This scientific breakthrough aligns with Turkmenistan's sustainable development strategy, supporting its commitments under the Global Methane Pledge to enhance environmental oversight in the energy sector.
