The Mejlis of Turkmenistan summed up the results of work for 7 months

A meeting was held in the Mejlis of Turkmenistan dedicated to the results of the work carried out in January-July of this year.

It was noted that during this period, 14 laws of Turkmenistan were adopted, including the laws "On the approval and implementation of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan", "On the court", "On the Unified State Register of Voters", "On the creation of the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan "Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna", on accession to the Protocol to the International Convention on Trademarks. Also, in accordance with the requirements of the time, appropriate changes and additions have been made to some current legislative acts in the areas of criminal, arbitration, civil and criminal procedure, family law, labor relations, taxes, jubilee medals, administrative proceedings, automobile transport, migration, internal affairs agencies and customs issues.

Reports were heard on the activities carried out to further modernize the country's national legislation based on international experience, and the tasks outlined in this area were discussed.

The meeting noted the importance of the ongoing activities to further develop effective relations established with international organizations, parliaments of foreign states, and strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The importance of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in promoting Turkmenistan’s peace-loving policy in the world was also noted.

Attention was drawn to the activities carried out by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to hold the Parliamentary Forum at a high organizational level with broad representation of world states.

Turkmenistan Announces the Contest “Youth Creativity – The Voice of Peace”

The editorial office of Nesil newspaper, together with the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, has announced the launch of the contest “Youth Creativity – The Voice of Peace.” The official announcement was published in the Nesil newspaper issue dated October 28.

The competition is open to young people under the age of 35. Participants are invited to submit essays, short stories, and poems dedicated to the themes of national achievements, patriotism, permanent neutrality, peace, friendship, and unity.

Entries must be submitted by December 10 with the note “Youth Creativity – The Voice of Peace.” Applications should include an information sheet, a copy of the passport, two 3×4 photos, home address, and phone number.

The results will be announced in December, in honor of the International Day of Neutrality. Winners will receive certificates of merit, valuable prizes, and special awards for outstanding creative work.
