Singer Dowran Shammyev Ranks Among Top Three at Silk Way Star Music Competition
On September 20, Kazakhstan hosted the premiere of Silk Way Star, a major international music show featuring talented performers from 12 countries. Representing Turkmenistan is the well-known singer Dowran Shammyev, while Rasul Klychev, a Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, is part of the international jury.
In the debut episode, Shammyev performed his original song “Eşityäñmi olary” ("Do You Hear Them") and received 120 points, placing him in the top three contestants.
The episode’s leader was a participant from Malaysia with 126 points, followed by a singer from Uzbekistan with 122 points. The competition will continue over 9 more episodes, each lasting over 100 minutes.
The show features competitive tasks, cross-cultural duets, performances in multiple languages, and will culminate in a grand gala concert, where the winner of this multicultural format will be announced.
The final show airs live on November 22 on Jibek Joly and major channels of participating countries.
The winner will be chosen based on a combination of jury votes (50%) and public online voting (50%).

On the workday preceding a public holiday, working hours are reduced by one hour. The same applies to night shifts, and in continuous production, the schedule is equivalent to a normal day. The average monthly working time is 166.9 hours for a 40-hour workweek and 150.5 hours for a 36-hour workweek. This ensures a balanced labor schedule throughout Turkmenistan in 2026.
