Emergency Actions if Gas is Detected: Should a gas odor occur, residents must instantly halt appliance use and shut off all supply valves. It is vital to ventilate the area by opening windows. Importantly, no electrical switches should be touched—either to turn on or off—as this may ignite the gas.
General Maintenance and Usage: Safe operation requires constant airflow, meaning windows must remain cracked during cooking. The department emphasizes that gas stoves should never be left unattended or operated by minors. Furthermore, unauthorized modifications or repairs to the gas network are strictly illegal.
