Russia to Send 140,000 Russian-Language Books to 26 Countries in 2025
In 2025, Russia plans to distribute 140,000 books — including textbooks and fiction — in Russian to 26 countries around the world, according to the federal agency Rossotrudnichestvo.
The books will be delivered to public and private educational institutions, schools, and organizations where Russian is taught or used as a language of instruction.
The list of recipient countries includes several post-Soviet states such as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, among others.
The program aims to promote the study and use of the Russian language abroad.

Govher Khadzhimuradova became the winner of the competition "Shining Star of the Year"
The National Drama Theater named after Alp Arslan held the final of the annual musical competition "Shining Star of the Year", organized by the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli, the Ministry of Culture and the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography.
Ten vocalists aged 17 to 35, selected from all regions of the country, took part in the final stage of the competition. The participants performed two compositions, one of which was played without musical accompaniment.
The winner of the competition was the singer Govkher Khadzhimuradova. Durdy Durdiev, the winner of last year's competition, presented the transitional trophy and the main prize.
The results were determined based on jury voting and audience SMS voting.
