Russia to Send 140,000 Russian-Language Books to 26 Countries in 2025
02 Sep. 09:45In 2025, Russia plans to distribute 140,000 books — including textbooks and fiction — in Russian to 26 countries around the world, according to the federal agency Rossotrudnichestvo.
The books will be delivered to public and private educational institutions, schools, and organizations where Russian is taught or used as a language of instruction.
The list of recipient countries includes several post-Soviet states such as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, among others.
The program aims to promote the study and use of the Russian language abroad.
