On the afternoon of December 11, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Ashgabat on a state visit. Officials greeted the honored guest at the Turkmen capital's international airport to participate in a high-level forum and celebrations dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, the Vatan news program reported. The Turkish leader's visit is of great importance for further strengthening interstate dialogue and expanding cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

23 Aug. 14:31The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn. Bhd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance cooperation in education and vocational training. The signing meeting involved Minister of Education J. Gurbangeldiyev, Malaysian Ambassador Mohd Suhaimi bin Ahmad Tajuddin, and PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) CEO Ismadi bin Ismail.
The agreement coincides with the 30th anniversary of PETRONAS's operations in Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector. Discussions focused on qualifying skilled workforce candidates for the energy industry, extending scholarship opportunities for Turkmen students at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, and advancing professional development programs.
To date, Turkmenistan and Malaysia have established nearly 20 educational agreements. During the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Turkmenistan, three additional agreements were finalized between local universities and Universiti Tenaga Nasional to support academic mobility and exchange initiatives.
