President of Turkmenistan Signs Decree on Autumn Military Draft and Discharge of Conscripts
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan has signed a decree authorizing the discharge of conscripted soldiers and initiating the autumn military draft, according to TDH.
Under the decree, from October to December 2025, conscripts who have completed their mandatory service in the Armed Forces and other military bodies will be honorably discharged.
During the same period, male citizens aged 18 to 27 who are not exempt or deferred will be called up for military service.
The decree takes effect immediately upon publication.
To implement the decree, the President also issued a directive instructing the heads of defense, internal affairs, national security, border, and migration services to organize formal discharge ceremonies.
Soldiers who demonstrate excellence in military and civic training will be recognized and rewarded.
The draft is being conducted in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the Law "On Military Duty and Military Service."

An informal meeting of heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States has officially begun in Saint Petersburg. The gathering is being held in the St. George Hall of the State Hermitage Museum, one of the world’s most prominent cultural institutions. The launch of the meeting was confirmed by official representatives of the host country.
Prior to the talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin, together with CIS leaders, toured the exhibitions of the Hermitage Museum. The visit included Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Following the cultural program, the heads of state convened in the St. George Hall to begin informal discussions. Turkmenistan’s participation highlighted the country’s consistent engagement in regional dialogue and cooperation within the CIS framework.
