President of Turkmenistan Pays Respects to Azerbaijan's National Memorials

As part of his official state visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, visited the primary historical and national monuments in Baku to pay high tribute to the history and memory of the Azerbaijani people. The diplomatic event was formally reported by the "Turkmenistan" e-newspaper.

The Head of State first proceeded to the "Alley of Martyrs" memorial complex, where he honored the national heroes of Azerbaijan who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and freedom of their motherland, placing fresh floral wreaths at the eternal flame monument. During the cultural walkthrough, the Mayor of Baku, E. Azizov, provided the Turkmen delegation with an overview of the historic layout and national significance of the memorial square.

Following this, the Turkmen leader visited the Alley of Honor, the final resting place of the national Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov laid a bouquet of flowers at the grave of the prominent statesman, whose vision and leadership built the modern economic baseline and elevated the international profile of contemporary Azerbaijan. Heydar Aliyev is widely respected in Turkmenistan as an outstanding political figure who played a transformative role in reinforcing the historical ties, strategic neighborhood, and fraternal solidarity between the two nations. The state visit of the President of Turkmenistan is successfully underway.

















Turkmenistan and China Expand Cooperation in Agricultural Sector

A bilateral meeting between representatives of Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China focused on agricultural development was held at the Archabil Hotel in Ashgabat. The negotiations took place within the framework of a visit by a Chinese delegation led by Erkin Tuniyaz, Chairman of the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The event brought together heads of the agro-industrial sector, scientists from research academies, and representatives of leading companies from both nations. Discussions centered on integrating digital technologies into agriculture, as well as advancing seed production and selective breeding. Special emphasis was placed on cotton growing, raw material processing, and water conservation technologies.

The Chinese delegation expressed strong interest in implementing joint investment projects and supplying modern agricultural machinery to Turkmenistan. Additionally, both parties agreed to establish regular exchange visits for agricultural experts to facilitate professional knowledge sharing.

Following the sectoral talks, the Chinese delegation met with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan T. Atahallyev. The meeting summarized the results of the consultations and reaffirmed both nations' commitment to elevating regional agricultural and technical partnership to a higher level.
