Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan via a digital platform. According to reports broadcast on the “Watan” news program, the meeting focused on a wide range of important issues related to the state governance of Turkmenistan.

The session began with a report by the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, D. Gulmanova, who outlined ongoing efforts to improve the legislative framework of Turkmenistan. She noted that amendments and additions to existing laws are being developed based on proposals from ministries and sectoral agencies of Turkmenistan, while international best practices are being studied to enhance human rights protection and promote the development of various sectors of the Turkmenistan economy.

The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the necessity of continuing systematic work on drafting new laws that meet the strategic objectives of national development.

Subsequently, Deputy Prime Ministers of Turkmenistan presented reports on the activities of the institutions under their supervision, the outcomes achieved, steps taken to further strengthen the national economy of Turkmenistan, and the implementation of previous presidential instructions. They also briefed the President of Turkmenistan on preparations for upcoming initiatives in cultural, humanitarian, foreign policy, and other key areas, submitting relevant proposals and draft plans.

After reviewing the reports, the President of Turkmenistan approved the proposed initiatives and issued specific instructions aimed at advancing economic sectors, ensuring effective implementation of planned activities, and expanding international cooperation of Turkmenistan.

The meeting also addressed several other significant matters of state importance, resulting in the adoption of appropriate decisions.
