Since the establishment of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, 758 essential surgeries have been successfully performed in Turkmenistan. Additionally, the modern Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadag city has provided specialized treatment to 2,467 children to date. These significant achievements were highlighted during a Board meeting of the Fund held on March 28, 2026, showcasing the nation's progress in pediatric healthcare.

During the meeting, the Vice-President of the Fund for Medical Affairs, Oguljahan Atabayeva, detailed the advanced methodologies employed at the Arkadag rehabilitation center. She noted that the facility combines state-of-the-art medical technology with Turkmenistan's unique natural healing resources, providing a holistic approach to recovery. This integration ensures that children receive comprehensive care tailored to their specific needs, fostering rapid social reintegration and physical well-being.

The Fund has also made significant strides in international diplomacy and humanitarian cooperation. Last year, Arkadag city hosted a major international conference featuring representatives from numerous states and global organizations. The final document of this forum was translated into all official UN languages and distributed as a formal document of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. This international recognition underscores Turkmenistan's leadership in promoting humanitarian values and child protection on a global scale.

Furthermore, the Fund has solidified partnerships through Memorandums of Understanding with UNICEF, China’s Soong Ching Ling Foundation, and Azerbaijan’s Heydar Aliyev Foundation. These alliances facilitate knowledge sharing and the implementation of joint humanitarian projects. Beyond medical assistance, the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund continues to support vulnerable children through various material and social aid programs, both domestically and internationally, embodying the enduring principles of compassion and justice.
