The student engineering assembly of Turkmenistan achieved high rankings at the international "Personnel for the Digital Economy" tournament, administered by the Russian Federation for CIS member states. Commencing in September 2025, this highly competitive technology forum drew more than 4,000 elite academic contestants representing tertiary institutions across six nations. Following rigorous technical qualifiers, 57 institutional teams advanced to the elite bracket, where Turkmen programmers and engineers established themselves as frontrunners.

During the preliminary structural challenges, the Turkmen "Oguz Wings" team established an absolute speed record by flawlessly assembling a complex multi-component aerial drone from 35 discrete parts within a strict 10-minute timeframe. Additionally, the team successfully demonstrated long-range hardware synchronization via standard data networks. In the pre-final stage, the team’s software engineers utilized the Python programming language within a live, four-hour window to script autonomous navigational algorithms, enabling synchronized air and ground drones to successfully execute logistics routines.

The decisive Grand Final, staged in Moscow from May 11 to May 16, 2026, pitted Turkmenistan against the eight highest-ranked engineering universities in the commonwealth. In the individual drone simulation trials, team leader and third-year student Kerim Nazarov secured first place out of 64 competitors, finishing the course in a record 58 seconds. In the final cumulative institutional rankings determined after two days of continuous operation, the Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan captured the overall second-place silver trophy.

The international judicial panel also presented the Turkmen delegation with a specialized corporate cup for "Multirotor Maneuvering," acknowledging the exceptional velocity and precision of their automated hardware during high-speed delivery drills. Within the structural design exhibition, the students successfully presented original, functional prototypes of unmanned amphibious cyber-physical systems designed to operate autonomously across both terrestrial and aquatic environments.
