According to the "Watan" news broadcast, the two leaders exchanged warm greetings and noted with satisfaction the exemplary status of bilateral relations founded on mutual respect and shared historical ties. During the conversation, President Aliyev emphasized the major strategic significance of the recent state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan, which opened new avenues for mutual growth.

Expressing gratitude for the kind words, the National Leader emphasized that the warm hospitality extended to the Turkmen delegation in Azerbaijan reflects the deep-rooted fraternity between the two nations. He conveyed special appreciation for the new vessel named "Dostluk" (Friendship) presented as a gift to the people of Turkmenistan. The leaders agreed that the agreements reached during the high-level visit have established a robust framework for expanding cooperation across trade, economics, industry, transport-logistics, agriculture, and healthcare. Furthermore, they highlighted the importance of cultural diplomacy, noting that the successful organization of Mutual Culture Days in Baku, Ganja, Ashgabat, and Arkadag cities beautifully mirrors their common Oguz lineage and shared values.
