NASA Partners with Private Sector for Upcoming Crewed Lunar Landing Mission
01 Sep. 05:33NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman publicly acknowledged that the agency cannot send astronauts back to the Moon independently and relies heavily on private space sector partnerships. Industry partners are already developing key components for future lunar missions, with Axiom Space manufacturing advanced spacesuits, while Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin construct the human landing systems.
This collaborative approach follows recent achievements in NASA's deep-space exploration program. Earlier this April, the Artemis II crew aboard the Orion spacecraft traveled roughly 406,700 kilometers from Earth before splashing down safely in the Pacific Ocean, setting a new record for the furthest distance traveled by humans in space.
NASA’s next primary benchmark is the Artemis IV mission, scheduled for 2028, which aims to land astronauts on the lunar surface. This milestone will mark humanity's first return to the Moon's surface since the final Apollo mission in 1972.

On-the-Go Power: Japanese Engineers Develop Wireless In-Road Charging for Electric Vehicles
10 Oct. 08:10In a major leap for electric mobility, Honda R&D, alongside Taisei Corporation and Taisei Rotec, has unveiled an innovative dynamic wireless charging system that charges electric vehicles as they drive. By embedding compact energy-transmitting modules directly into the road surface, the system transfers power via a magnetic field to receivers mounted underneath moving vehicles. Designed to withstand heavy commercial transport up to 20 tons, real-world road testing is scheduled to begin in Japan in April 2027.
The technology eliminates the need for full road reconstruction, as modules can be integrated directly into milled asphalt layers. Aimed at boosting charging power up to 150 kW in future iterations, this infrastructure solution promise to significantly reduce grid pressure on traditional charging stations, particularly for logistics and commercial fleets.
